Welcome to Friendly Ketchikan - I suggest you rewrite to the Govenor and mention that you are getting no response from Mayor Weinstein and also mabey Mayor Kiffer could do something if he is interested in keeping his approval ratiing up with the outsiders. Good for you on having a vision for that derilect of a building, some of Ketchikan's people have superstitions and are not used to the positive, looking forward, look at the posibilities mind set. I dont know if Alaska has such a thing as tax credit subsidised low income housing, but Ktown could use some more of such . Be patient with the Alaskan's and Ketchikanites if they seem slow do get things done it's because, well I just cant say the words in public why. Best Wishes.

Kudos to you for wanting to do something with the property. It is currently in very bad shap and really needs to be torn down. You are also going to compete with a entrenced arts community that is trying to get funding for its own builing--so expect little help from the community.
