Lulan's fabrics are sooo beautiful. More interior designers need to know about them and sell them to their clients...

This project is great, but I think it'd be better if you check out an organization called VOICE by visiting Vietnamvoice. This organization is focusing the poor Vietnamese community in Cambodia right now. About 80% of the Vietnamese females in Cambodia are being sold starting at 13 years old. This is very sad so please check it out. This organization post some video clips on youtube so just search "Vietnam Voice" or "hy sinh"

Eve's project appears to be strategically well designed. It gains strength by working with other groups. It responds to the problem of human trafficking with interventions that yield economic and social benefits to the perpetrators and victims. Power and best wishes to you, Eve and allies! -- Edited by CM966332 at 09/28/2008 9:20 PM PDT

This project encompasses everything that I am passionate about in terms of human trafficking. There must be the opportunity for us to provide the means for these women to create their OWN means to live the life they CHOOSE. To enrich and to empower... My friend's cousin in Vietnam was almost trafficked, until she gave as much documentation educating the cousin's parents on sex slavery and human trafficking as she could... My heart goes out to this project completely.

I truly Believe that information is a powerful tool. Whit this project People will be more aware when and where human traffic can happen, so it will help to pay more attention and be careful with our children. "missing kids can destroy families" I do not want this happening to me or anyone else.

Thank you for all those who have taken their time to support this worthy cause. Behind this collaborative venture there are thousands of families that will benefit. I wish they could all be online to read your support. Funnily enough I was on a call with my weavers in Laos and they heard about how we were doing through local radio station that picked up the stories from news blogs. What a small world we live in. We truly believe that we can only create real change by implementation. We have set this project up so that no matter where we are in the top 5 we will be able to build centers and support communities for up to five years. Eve.

What a wonderful opportunity for those who would otherwise be coerced into such a horrendous trade. Studies have shown that empowering females in many cultures results in a higher social and economic return than in some comparable investments. As a shareholder, I cannot think of a better use of American Express's funding. RLT
